Never Look for Justice

Today's Oswald Chamber's devotion is one of my favorites.  It leaves you scratching your head, because it goes against everything we think we believe.  It's posted here, http://utmost.org/suffering-afflictions-and-going-the-second-mile/.

At the end of the devotion, there is something I've carried around for the last few years when I see injustice being done.  It's a reminder to us that we are wretched sinners in need of a savior, and a reminder of how to react.

"Never look for righteousness in the other person, but never cease to be righteous yourself. We are always looking for justice, yet the essence of the teaching of the Sermon on the Mount is — Never look for justice, but never cease to give it." - Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest, July 14 devotion.
